An evening for two
Start with the sunset on a hill or a high floor: Sunset Beach Terrace, Torien or Horizon. Then dinner, and a quieter bar: Rum Jungle for rum cocktails on a roof, or the Lobby Lounge at Dusit Thani for live music.
Music for two
For music you can talk over: the Lobby Lounge at Dusit Thani has live music from 17:00 to midnight, by the hotel; Backstreet House, a garden bar in Naklua, plays jazz at a volume you can talk over, by Pattaya.Guide (June 2026), until 23:30 (closed Wednesdays). For something louder, Hard Rock Cafe’s house band plays every night from 20:00 to 23:45; after 22:00 it is 20 and over only.
A day into night
Take the boat to Sina in the afternoon (last boat out 19:00, by its own site), or a daybed at The Beach Club at Pullman on Wong Amat. Both are by the water.
Sina is reached only by boat, and its own FAQ says the transfer is not recommended for guests aged 70 or over, expectant mothers, or anyone with injuries, reduced mobility or disabilities that make boarding difficult; ask Sina on LINE, @sinabeachclub, before you book (checked 2 October 2026).
Two sunsets on the hill
Pratumnak has two rooftops facing the gulf, each with a happy hour from 17:00: Sunset Beach Terrace at Royal Cliff, until 19:00, and Hermes Skybar above Cosy Beach, until 18:00, with selected drinks at half price. Both take bookings. All the rooftops are compared on rooftop bars.
Streets to know about
Some bars on Walking Street and in LK Metro are go-go bars; we don’t list them. For a night that stays away from both, take the quieter plan on your first night out.
