What it’s like
Pratumnak is condos, resorts and small beaches on a green hill, with views both ways along the coast. It has bars, but most are small and local. Most people come for a sunset drink with a view, then go down the hill to eat or out for the night.

Both face the gulf from high up, so both are about the hour the sun goes down. Sunset Beach Terrace closes at 21:00; Hermes stays open until 23:30 for a second drink. For the other rooftops, from Wong Amat to Na Jomtien, see rooftop bars in Pattaya and Jomtien.
When to go
Arrive by 17:00: both happy hours start then, and the light is at its best in the hour after. By 21:00 the hill is quiet again, and the night carries on below it. Every other published deal, by time of day, is on happy hours.
Getting there and home
Walking Street is at the foot of the hill on the Pattaya side; Jomtien is on the other. Ride apps are the easy way up and down. See getting home.
