What bars publish

We know of no citywide survey of 2026 bar prices, so these are the prices bars publish themselves, with the serving size and what the source says about tax and service. Prices on a website can be older than the date we checked them.

La Moon’s itemised operator menu separates signature cocktails, shooters and classics. Its homepage FAQ still gives 329–349 baht for signature cocktails; that conflicts with the 329-baht menu category (25 October 2026; homepage FAQ record from 22 October). Confirm before ordering; do not apply one price to every cocktail.

In May 2025, an opinion piece in Pattaya Mail gave 190 baht for a San Miguel as a common bar price. Hotel rooftops add service and VAT where their menus say ++.

What “++” means

Where a menu shows “++”, add a 10% service charge, then 7% VAT on the total: multiply by about 1.177, so a 300-baht cocktail becomes about 353 baht. On the Centara Grand Mirage page, the COAST barbecue for two is 2,300 baht ++, which comes to about 2,707 baht.

A service charge applies only where the menu or bill says so; “net” means the price you see is the price you pay. VAT is 7% until 30 September 2027, under Royal Decree No.

807 (B.E. 2569), by the Revenue Department.

Three example nights

Built only from the published prices above: set quantities, not averages, and each says what we don’t know.

• A pub night for one, Soi Buakhao. Three 450 ml craft draughts at Pattaya Sports Bar, from 199 baht each: 3 × 199 = 597 baht (operator checked 25 October 2026). Assume two standard baht-bus rides at 15 baht: 30 baht, using the dated fare report. From 627 baht, before any unpublished tax/service. Beer choice, route, availability and the return fare need confirmation.
• A sundowner and cocktails for two. Assume four selected happy-hour drinks at Pullman, from 140 baht net each: 560 baht (25 October check). Add four La Moon signature cocktails at 329 baht: 1,316 baht (menu checked 25 October). Total: from 1,876 baht for two, plus transport and any La Moon tax/service. Serving sizes and La Moon tax terms are not stated; Pullman’s eligible drinks and availability need confirmation. Food is not included.
• A club night for four, Walking Street. Republic’s standing table is listed at a 5,000-baht minimum for up to four (25 October operator check): 5,000 ÷ 4 = 1,250 baht each at exactly the minimum. This is separate from VIP tables. Tax/service, included drinks, deposit and cancellation are unverified. If, only as an illustration, 10% service and then 7% VAT were added, 5,000 × 1.10 × 1.07 = 5,885 baht, or 1,471.25 each. Add transport at the fare actually agreed.

Check the bill

The US State Department warns that some bars in Thailand overcharge for drinks and cover charges. Ask for the price before you order where there is no menu, keep your receipts or the chit cup, and check the bill before you pay.

In August 2026, Pattaya Mail reported a tourist refusing a 32,540-baht bill after 13 hours in one bar; the police were called to mediate. See staying safe.

Spend less

Drink in the published happy hours, most of them in the afternoon or at sunset. A happy-hour price marked net, like Pullman’s, includes service and VAT; a discount alone, like half price, may still have them added.
