“Roof” means the bar gives no floor number. Horizon publishes its menu hours, not a closing time; Virgin Rooftop’s hotel page publishes no hours. Hard Rock Hotel’s Moon Deck, a raised deck over Beach Road rather than a roof, is open 17:00 to midnight; see Hard Rock Cafe.
Rooftops by area
Central Pattaya. Three hotels on and behind Beach Road: Horizon on level 34 of Hilton Pattaya, the Rooftop Terrace at Holiday Inn on level 25, 107 metres up, and Siam@Siam on Second Road, with BARBÙ on the 24th floor for all ages and Skybar Summer Club on the 27th for adults. See Central Pattaya.
Pratumnak. The hill between Pattaya and Jomtien faces west over the gulf: Sunset Beach Terrace is at Royal Cliff, and Hermes Skybar at Elysium. See Pratumnak.
Jomtien and Na Jomtien. ZAMA Skybar, on level 38 of D Varee Jomtien Beach, is the highest we list and the one open latest. Further south in Na Jomtien, Torien is the rooftop bar of Pattaya Marriott. See Jomtien.
Naklua and Wong Amat. Rum Jungle, on the roof of Centara Grand Mirage, pours rum cocktails, a short walk from the Wong Amat beach bars. See North Pattaya and Naklua.
When to go
Go for the sunset. The bay faces west, so the rooftops on Pratumnak and in Jomtien and Wong Amat get the sun going down over the water. Five of the nine publish a happy hour around then, given in the table above; for every bar in town, see happy hours, and for an evening for two, nightlife for couples.
For later, ZAMA follows its sunset session with Afro house until late, with live performers on Friday and Saturday (its own site).
In the rainy season, roughly May to October, open terraces can close for a downpour; a bar with an indoor room, such as Horizon, is the safer plan.
Entry, age and dress
Skybar Summer Club is the only one of the nine with an entry fee, given in the details above; guests of Siam@Siam pay none (its FAQ page, checked 7 October 2026). None of the nine publishes a minimum spend.
Rum Jungle asks for casual dress, by the hotel’s page; the others publish no dress rule, so ask the bar. For age: Skybar Summer Club’s own rule says 18 and over, but Thai law sets 20 for licensed venues, so bring photo ID. BARBÙ, on the floor below, is open to all ages. See entry, ID and dress codes.
What it costs
Most rooftops are in hotels, and hotel menus usually add a 10% service charge and 7% VAT to the prices shown, about 17.7% on top; Torien’s highball offer is marked ++ for that reason. Horizon’s main courses run from 650 to 1,300 baht on its menu page. See what drinks cost.
